This Little Piggy Got Severed...
I had to go to emergency room...I got half my toenail torn off, and a piece of metal lodged into it... it was gnarly...and damn painful...
That piggy said, "what the hell did I ever do to you?"
The doc would not allow me to take photos as he dripped some liquid stitches and gave me a shot...

Ouch. Nothing worse than a toe injury.
Agreed...I just wish I couldve made this post more graphic...lack of planning...

Could always recreate the accident, this time with the other foot and better planning.
Find a doctor who allows you to photograph the damage.
rob split his head open once snowboarding and i took pictures of the doc giving him stitches...but that was years ago and our dr's in canada probably aren't as worried about law suits as they are in the states.
that sucks about your toe. but what happened? your closet looks so innocent.

ouch!!! i hurt both my feet in the last year... first..back in february..i stepped on the hook of my belt buckle.. it punctured my heel, i was limping around, stuck a bandaid on it and didnt' think anything of it.
3 days later i'm at work and my leg was frozen and sore. i couldn't move it. i ended up in the emergency room where they gave me some antibiotics and i was told i had a serious puncture wound and that i came in before things had gotten out of hand.. a few weeks and that FINALLY healed...
and i drop a 45kg weight on my big toe of the other foot breaking it... but u know...toe's dont heel fast.. i think the pain JUST went away..

Canadian drs are weird....i had an experience out there that i will sometime share...just remember to bring enough prescription medicine when visiting canada...getting a new one out there when u are from the states is tough.
hey, phats...at least i had a decent pedicure! thats the equivilent of having good underwear on when going to the dr...

OMG Seahag that had to hurt! Yikes! I've 'stubbed' my toes a few times but never got something stuck in a toe nail before. There is no point in doing things by halves. Do it properly or not at all! Hope the pain is easing now!

Yikes!! Hope you have a speedy recovery!! I stubbed my pinky toe on the basement steps when I was a kid one time. Lost my toenail, broke my toe, and limped for a week after. Foot injuries are the worst.
