On This Day- June 11, 2002
Four years ago today, I moved from po-dunk Denver, Colorado to Los Angeles...
I traded this...

For this!
And this traffic...
For this traffic!
Here is a view of my old office in Denver...
And here is where I work now...(actually, I work in one of those buildings...no, not at LAX, you stalker!)
Old tree...
Palm tree!
But really, life began in my new city the day a 6-month old stray cat walked up to me in Long Beach and begged me to take him home and name him Jinx The Wondercat...

Good advice! Strays are the best pets. I've had 2 of them myself and they're great!
Thanks for the wonderful message, LB! And thank YOU!
Thanks guys, for letting me be sentimental!
awww.. nice post...
maybe i'll be joining u in LA sooner than later!!!
then we can pig out all the time.
I like Denver though - nice city.
Do you miss it?
Jinxy is so cute- just like her human mommy! The west coast needs cool people like you!
Jinx is cute.
I need the change of weather, rather than the palm trees. But I have visited California before and found it beautiful in it's own respect.
We love you and Jinxy and you can be sentimental ANY time you want. I can tell you with all honesty I absolutely without any doubt, do NOT miss snow at all ever!
Congrats on your big anniversary and move, it takes courage to do that!
Not sure I could do cali haha :)
So very true! I've had a dream or two snagged away...
I hear you about dreams...
when my mom says its time to start moving on, I think that's what life is coming down to.
Time flies when you're having fun, though I have to say, being an east coaster, i would prefer Denver to LA. Then again, I'm from Reading, PA and that says everything - I'd prefer almost anywhere to here.
Is this a dumb question... so which place do you prefer?
btw, great pics!
where can i get big giant letters?
can you call the LAX people and ask?
Aw..this was a great friggin post..specially about Jinx :)
I have seven cats that did that to me..I am such a sucka :p
Great post. I wish I had the balls to move to L.A. Good for you (and Jinx)!
